Sadly I Just realized that it has been over a year since my last post Shame on me I know. Well here is a very brief update on what has happened that i can remember since then.....
Josh was offered a job at Signal Peak Energy in Montana. So sadly we sold the dogs, the horses, and some of what we owned, loaded up dads trailer, and moved to Montana. One week previous to our leaving I gave birth to an amazing baby boy. Stetson Russell Arthur Hatch. He was born November 14 2011 ( i know three days earlier would have been very cool). He weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 20 inches long.

Josh left two days later on his own to our new home. A week later, the day before thanksgiving, My dad and my brother Branden drove my dads truck with the trailer of our stuff, and my mom and I loaded up the kids and followed in my car. We stayed the night in Idaho and finished our journey the next day. unloading our stuff and returning to Billings to have Thanksgiving Dinner at the Cracker Barrel. I wasn't impressed but itwas better than gas station food. When we arrived we were sorely dissappointed, as the "apartment" we had rented was horrible, sad, small, and scary. Thankfully we were only there about 6 weeks before we found a larger safter place that we love. We did have a small christmas there in that tiny rat hole, and i dont believe we've ever had a more humble holiday.

We started going to church and we've made a few friends. We live in beautiful house and we've made a few adventures this summer heading to the missouri breaks and catching some of the most amazing fish ever.

Now it is the first of September, Josh has been at the mine for 10 months and they are on the Longwall move right now. Time has passed by very fast for us, but it has been lonely with our friends and family so far away. also we havent had much chance to ride horses and the hunts are coming up, which sadly we will miss out on this year. but we've been very blessed and dont have much reason to complain.
I will be starting to homeschool the kids later this week and it will be another next experience for all of us so wish me luck!

First Fish

Yesterday we were hoping to be able to go fishing and unfortunately that didn't happen. So this morning me and the kids woke up and decided to hurry and go before anything else happened. We went out to the fish and game pond here in Huntington (which was a very long walk). Kaylee struggled with it a little bit as there was no-one to pack her and she had to walk, but she toughened it out most of the way (with her brothers help )and we made it.

When we first got there, we each had our own fishing poles to use. We borrowed Wyatts small 'cars' fishing pole for Kaylee and he got to use a big one. We cast hers out first and wouldn't you know it, she caught a fish before we even had the second pole cast out. She reeled it in all by herself for the first time and was very proud of herself. (needless to say I still can't figure out how to rotate my pictures so you have to look sideways)

We caught 9 fish total and took four home to have for supper. None of them were real big but they were alot of fun to real in. More than half of what we caught were albino trout which are very weird but they bite like crazy. These are of Wyatt reeling in a small albino.

Long time comin

I haven't posted anything since Christmas and I know there is alot that I'm going to leave out, but I don't remember most of it so bear with me.

These first two pictures are of Kaylee in January. She was struck with a severe case of RSV and we spend 3 days in the hospital doing breathing treatments to get her better. She was a super good sport about everything.

 

 We were then stuck with 2 unexpected litters of puppies. 22 total. 13 from the first batch and 9 from the second. I'm counting the days until I get rid of them all....

 These are just two pictures that I thought were cute that i'd throw in here. We have finished with school for the year and a few more stressful encounters are over with so now we are trying to prepare to enjoy summer before anything else overtakes us.

Its been a while since i've added anything so its time to catch up on a few things. We spent Thanksgiving this year in Panguitch and had a very good time with no fights, but I did miss being able to spend it with my sister who was down from Pennsylvania for over a week. Once We got home we decided that it was time enough to decorate for christmas so we got the tree out and let the kids decorate it (most anyways). Even though they got slightly distracted by the stockings that weren't hung.

After Thanksgiving we decided to make a trip to Orderville and visit Rory and Kristys new place "Cooters Cafe:". It was alot of fun and I wish they we had more time to spend down there with them.

Also David Stokes recently offered us A filly. She was 2 years old and had never been touched in her life. I was excited to get her considering I had just recently sold mine. After two crazy days trying to catch her, we finally managed to get her in the horse trailer and haul her home. Now we have a new project on our hands that i'm very excited about. Her name is Gypsy.

Ok so its been over a month since i've posted anything. I'll try to remember what i've missed. These are the yummy caramel apples and pretzels my mom and I made (even tho she did most of the work).

We didn't do a real big Halloween this year although i think within the 5 houses we went to, we got a higher load of candy than we ever have. Wyatt wouldn't decide what he wanted to be until the hour before we left. they were going to be dorothy and the cowardy lion, but once kaylee decided she would rather be a purple care bear, wyatt gave up on the idea also

Recently I started work at the Vet clinic In Castle Dale, and of coarse I cant work in a place of animals without bringing some home. Aside from a few cats, I adopted two hounds. Adult ones that can defend themselves. We've named them Hannah and Mollie and so far they have been awsome dogs that keep us entertained every weekend.

First Elk Hunt

Well, I wish I had a whole bunch of pictures to post on here, to show off my new experience.
unfortunately, the camera never left the truck and i didn't get any :(. On the bright side I had an unbelievably awsome weekend. I got my first spike tag this year, and Josh and I went to Beaver with my brother in law Wade. The three of us were joined by my nephew Cooter, Wade's father Russel and brother Jeremy. We drove up to Big Johns Flat in Beaver Canyon where we loaded up 5 horses and 6 mules, and headed to camp which was 7 miles away. The camp was already set up with an enormous canvas tent (complete with wood stove). We woke up at 6:30 the next morning and readied the horses. after about 2 hours riding, we came upon a small herd of elk. Russel pursuid them for a minute, hoping to push them over another hill towards us, giving us a good shot at any spikes that were there. He planned wrong, killed one spike, and the rest ran down into the bottom of the canyon. Wade rode his mule around one side, while josh and i hiked to the bottom on the other side, hoping that they would be pushed to one of us, giving us a chance at the second spike. it didn't work. we decided it would be better to start a fire and cook some burritos before heading out the find the second herd that we had spotted the night before. (by the way, if you remember a few weeks ago there was a fire in Beaver that was blowing smoke through emery county for over a week. we where the fire had burned).    An hour or two later we found the second herd, and rode around the mountain across from them, giving us a straight across shot. There were three of us with tags left to fill and four spikes in the herd that we could see. about 600 yards or more away. So we eached picked the ones we wanted and they waited for me to shoot first. I hit him in the leg lol. honestly i'm amazed i hit him at all at that far away. In the end we got all three spikes. we loaded them on the mules and headed back to camp, where we decided we might as well head home since we had all filled our tags. 4 spikes in 6 hours. By the time we got back to camp and loaded it was starting to get dark and we had barely made it halfway back to the trucks before it got dark on us. we ended up riding at least 3-4 miles in the dark. We had made a total of at least 30 miles on horseback that day.
   I'm sad i didn't get any pictures of my first elk hunt/camp trip. but i wouldn't ever take it back. i'm crossing my fingers that i'll have the chance to do it many more times over and next time i will get pictures to show it.

Last mountain weekend

We decided that this last weekend would be a fun time to go camping

it would be our last chance for the year before the snowfall and the hunts

so we loaded up the trailer and away we went. Eddie and Karidon joined

us and the weekend turned out awsome. we had elk bugling on all sides

of us all night and morning. it gave me the fever for hunting like no other
